itelligence AG presents final figures for Q1 2010
itelligence AG has confirmed its successful start to fiscal year 2010 with the presentation of its final figures for the first quarter. Revenues increased by +4.1% to MEUR 56.2 compared with MEUR 54.0 in the extremely strong first quarter of the previous year. Orders on hand increased to MEUR 175.7, up significantly on the figures for the same period of the previous year (MEUR 166.2) and year-end 2009 (MEUR 162.8).
Herbert Vogel, CEO of itelligence AG, said: “All in all, fiscal year 2010 has started successfully for itelligence AG. This is illustrated in particular by the fact that revenues in all three divisions are up on the previous year. For the rest of the year, it is essential that we expand our profitable business with new customers in what is an extremely competitive market environment. itelligence AG believes that it is well positioned to achieve this goal.”
In terms of revenue distribution, revenues in Germany/Austria remained essentially unchanged year-on-year at MEUR 27.0. Western Europe recorded the highest growth, with revenues climbing +31.0% from MEUR 7.8 in the first quarter 2009 to MEUR 10.2 largely as a result of the acquisition of 2B Interactive, Eindhoven. Revenues in the USA declined slightly to MEUR 14.0 after MEUR 14.3 in the previous year ( 1.6%), while the figure for Eastern Europe was MEUR 3.8 compared with MEUR 4.2 in the first quarter of 2009 ( 7.8%).
The Consulting, Licenses and Outsourcing & Services divisions all recorded revenue growth. Consulting revenues increased slightly to MEUR 32.3 after MEUR 32.2 in the previous year, while revenues in the Outsourcing & Services division increased by +7.0%, from MEUR 18.8 to MEUR 20.1. Licenses revenues rose by +27.0%, from MEUR 3.0 in the previous year to MEUR 3.8.
In line with forecasts, EBIT for the first quarter declined from MEUR 2.1 in the previous year to MEUR 1.4. This figure included around KEUR 400 due to expenses for acquisitions. This resulted in an EBIT margin of 2.5% (previous year: 3.8%). Earnings per share amounted to EUR 0.03 after EUR 0.05 at the end of the first quarter of 2009.
Norbert Rotter, CFO of itelligence AG said: “We are particularly satisfied with the revenue growth in the Outsourcing & Services and Licenses divisions. With the figures for the first quarter, we are reiterating our forecasts for 2010 as a whole, with revenues in a range of MEUR 230.0-240.0 and an EBIT margin of between 5.2% and 5.6%. These forecasts assume that the current moderate recovery in the market environment will continue.”
