New on-demand software solution from SAP
SAP Business ByDesign is the new on-demand software solution from SAP for SMEs. It is based on the service-oriented architecture and extends the existing SAP solution portfolio. The previous software solutions, SAP Business One and SAP Business All-in-One, will not be replaced; SAP is simply extending its offering to include an on-demand solution for SMEs with fewer industryspecific requirements.
With SAP Business ByDesign, SAP is pursuing a completely new concept in the areas of marketing and introduction through the inclusion of new technologies such as the Internet and e-learning. 20 pilot customers are already working live with SAP Business ByDesign; general availability for Germany, USA, China, France and the UK is planned for the first quarter of 2008.
With SAP Business ByDesign, SAP is also basing its new solution on the inclusion of new strategic partners, both for marketing and development of additional solutions. As a successful partner of SAP in the midmarket for many years, itelligence was selected along with a few other partners to work closely with SAP, already in this early stage of product introduction. Among other things, the focus of this cooperation was based on the verification and applicability of the new solution's innovative concepts. "For itelligence, this is an indication that as one of the most significant midmarket partners of SAP, we are involved in the development of the new product and the opening of new SAP market segments from the very beginning," said Herbert Vogel, CEO of itelligence AG.
